Garmin ECHOMAP Plus 93sv Panoptix LiveScope Ice Fishing Bundle Reviews:
Good unit for the money
I have had this unit on the boat for about four months now. I personally haven’t had any issues with, so far seems to work good. I know one review slammed the side imaging, it’s not as detailed as a couple of the other units. But if your gonna compare apples and oranges, See if you can get one for under a grand….maps are second to none, sonar and down imaging work good too. Have an older gen HDS 7 on the boat, this was an upgrade for me for sure. Eat, sleep, fish!
love the touch screen.it would be hard to go back to buttons. owned a hds 5 with lake master chip was a great unit. side by side the mapping on Garmin is pretty good . their is some depth discrepancies that anoy me sometimes but they have adjustments that help with water levels.took me a while to adjust to the new sonar but now it is great with down imaging now what i would of thought was two arches is actually a whole school of fish.you get a lot for the money with this unit and the transducer isnt the size of a ski board. takes time to fine tune it but now me like
Works perfect and great picture. Imaging is amazing if you upgrade to the HD transducer, but I think the standard one works great compared to other equally priced units. Easy to use and paired up with panoptix it’s amazing.
First of all I want to start out by saying ignore the idiot that gave this 1 star. If he did his research and knew what he was talking about he’d know livevu and livescope are separate technologies and are offered in two separate bundles. It’s not Garmin’s fault he’s incompetent and the company and this awesome piece of technology shouldn’t be knocked because of it.
I do not own this, yet, but I’ve had hands on experience with it and it makes hardwater and softwater fishing a completely different experience. If you want to make the most out of your ice fishing trips it’s worth it, if you can afford it. Also, if you have kids this is a great tool to teach them on and help them learn and interpret what the fish are doing.
It was misleading. Once you buy it you find our that you dont have.live scope but you can get it for another 1500.00 bucks such a RIP off I will never purchase a garmin product again
Not used yet but I think it’s gonna be perfect sonar what I ever have .
It’s one of the best things to buy when it come to ice fishing but if you want to be out on the ice more than 6-7 hrs get another battery or a solar charger to help it out. I wish Garmin would have put in a better battery than the panoptix because the LiveScope burns it faster. Just would make sense ex specially for the price tag
Still happy with the purchase just have to spend more money:(
